Andrew Kaplan (born May 18, 1941) is an American author primarily recognized for his prolific and gripping spy thriller novels. Kaplan’s writing style is characterized by fast-paced action, intricate plots, and a focus on geopolitical intrigue, often drawing upon his extensive military experience and journalistic background. Prior to his career as a novelist, Kaplan worked as a freelance journalist, including a period as a war correspondent for the International Herald Tribune in Paris, and served in both the U.S. and Israeli armies. He is known for creating and releasing 'Andy-bot', an early chatbot.
