Christopher Bollen, born November 26, 1975, is an American novelist and magazine writer/editor based in New York City. Bollen’s writing style is characterized by expansive, psychologically probing narratives, often drawing comparisons to authors such as John Updike, Michael Chincaght Eugenides, and Richard and Paula Franzen, while also incorporating elements of Agatha Christie’s suspenseful storytelling. He has published six novels and numerous short stories, articles, essays, and interviews, consistently exploring complex characters and settings with a keen eye for detail.
His work frequently delves into contemporary themes of identity, morality, and the human condition.
