Greg van Eekhout is a San Diego-based fantasy and science fiction writer known for his imaginative stories and complex characters. Born and raised by Dutch-Indonesian parents in Los Angeles, he developed a love for creating detailed narratives during childhood, often constructing elaborate space crews and character plots inspired by his favorite media. He holds a master’s degree in educational media and computers and began his professional writing career with the short story "Wolves Till the World Goes Down" in 2001, which gained recognition with a Nebula Award nomination. His work frequently explores themes of courage, survival, and resilience, often featuring younger protagonists with surprising depth and insight.
