He studied art at Colby College and began his career creating the weekly comic strip "Third Floor" for the local school magazine. Peirce is best known for creating the hugely popular "Big Nate" series, which debuted in 1991 and has been syndicated in newspapers worldwide and available digitally. His work centers around the mischievous adventures of Nate Wright, a sixth-grader with a penchant for trouble and a unique perspective on school and friendship.
