Lisa Klein is an American author primarily known for her reimagining of Shakespearean plays, particularly "Ophelia" and "Lady Macbeth's Daughter," which she adapted into young adult novels. Prior to becoming a full-time author, Klein served as an assistant professor of English at Ohio State University for eight years, but she left the university after being denied tenure. She is a prolific writer with a diverse background including a degree in Theology and English from Marquette University, and a passion for reading and various hobbies. Her writing often draws on historical settings and dramatic narratives.
