His upbringing involved extensive travel due to his parents’ military careers, shaping a worldview reflected in his often gritty and action-oriented stories. Moscoe’s writing style is characterized by fast-paced plots, morally ambiguous characters, and a focus on military and political intrigue, often set in futuristic or alternate historical settings. He is best known for creating the expansive 'Lost Millennium' universe and the 'Jump Universe' series, along with numerous standalone novels and short stories featuring the characters Kris Longknife and Vicky Peterwald.
