Nickolas Butler, born in 1979, is an American novelist and short story author hailing from Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he spent his childhood in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Butler’s writing is characterized by its blend of literary sensibilities with thriller elements, often exploring themes of love, loss, and the American West. He received his education at DePaul University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Iowa Writer’s Workshop, further honing his craft. He now resides on sixteen acres adjacent to a buffalo farm with his wife and two children.
