Patricia Ryan, born August 9, 1954, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is an accomplished American author known for her prolific output in both romance and mystery genres. Initially recognized for her romance novels under the pen name Patricia Ryan, she later expanded her writing career into the mystery genre as P.B. Ryan. Ryan's style is characterized by engaging plots, strong character development, and often features elements of suspense and intrigue. Her work has garnered numerous awards, including a Golden Heart Award in 1994 and several Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Awards, particularly for her book Silken Threads which won the RITA Award.
Throughout her career, Ryan has penned over 60 books, spanning various series and standalone titles. She is the twin sister of fellow romance writer Pamela Burford.
