Young’s background as a flight engineer who served in Afghanistan and Iraq with the Air National Guard directly informs his work, lending a gritty realism and authenticity to his narratives.
He is best recognized for his expansive Parsons and Gold series, beginning with The Mullah's Storm in 2010.
