David L. Lindsey (born 1944) is an American novelist recognized primarily for his work in the mystery and crime fiction genres. His writing career, spanning over three decades since his debut in 1983, has produced fourteen novels. Lindsey’s style is characterized by fast-paced plots, complex characters, and often explores themes of violence, betrayal, and the dark side of human nature. He’s notably involved with adaptations of his work for film, most prominently the 2000 movie adaptation of his 1990 thriller, Mercy.
