Casey Barrett, born in Montreal, Quebec in 1975, is a multifaceted individual with a background as a Canadian Olympic swimmer and a successful entrepreneur. Barrett is the co-founder and co-CEO of Imagine Swimming, Inc., New York City’s largest learn-to-swim program. Following a career in competitive swimming, he transitioned to writing, developing a distinct style characterized by suspenseful plots and engaging characters, primarily showcased in his Duck Darley crime series.
Barrett’s writing focuses on creating immersive crime stories. His novels, including the acclaimed 'Under Water,' blend elements of mystery and suspense with a unique protagonist. He has received recognition for his work through nominations for the Shamus Award, and his writing has appeared in various publications such as The Village Voice and Mystery Tribune.
